Gainey, 95, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, went to her eternal home on March 10, 2017. Born in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Wanda proudly served in the Womens Army Corp (WAC) division of the Army during World War II. She lived and raised her family in Long Island, New York. Wanda and her husband Joe later returned to Palm Coast, FL. After Joe died, Wanda met and married Ernie Gainey. They were active in the Church of Christ Sojourning and later began a small Bible study in their home which grew into the Church of Christ of Flagler County. Wanda is survived by five daughters Barbara, Pam, Vicky, Terry and Margie, 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Services celebrating Wanda’s life will be at 9:00 A.M. Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Church of Christ of Flagler County, 400 N. State Street in Bunnell, with Ministers Dave Stidham and Michael Hipes officiating. Burial with military honors by the U.S. Army will follow at 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the building fund, Church of Christ of Flagler County, P.O Box 353789, Palm Coast, FL 32135. Arlett Host https://johnsonoverturffunerals.blog/book-of-memories/2876537/Host-Arlett/service-details.php Arlett Sue Host, 75, of Interlachen, passed from this life on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Orange Park Medical Center following an extended illness. Born in Maui, Hawaii, she resided in Putnam County since 2004 coming from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Arlett had worked a cash processor with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She was active with the Historical Society of Interlachen where she served as Treasurer, a volunteer at the Interlachen Library and as a first responder with Station 17, Interlachen Lake Estates Volunteer Fire Department. She was also a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church. In her leisure time, Arlett enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and in years past, crocheting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell H. Host, a brother, Thomas Noble and a sister, Jacqueline Noble. Arlett is survived by 3 daughters, Erin McMillion (Allen) of Interlachen and Janene Locke and Russelle Nuzzo, both of Harmony, PA, a sister, Geraldine Kapopoulous of Pittsburgh, PA, a brother, George Noble of McKees Rock, PA and 8 grandchildren, Kyle, Devin, Timothy, Ashlee, Ciara, Nathaniel, Connor and Alex. He was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Conger, Jr, 2 sisters, Lawanda Bridges and Marty Harmon and his father-in-law, Johnny Mac Mathis who passed away on Monday. Robert is survived by his wife of 30 years, Susan René Conger of East Palatka, his children, Cassandra René Boulineau (Christopher) of Bostwick, Robert L. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, NASCAR and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. Johnny had attended Victory Christian Fellowship. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers, J. Henry Mathis, Charles Mathis, Gary Mathis, Larry Mathis and Jimmy Mathis and a sister, Shelby Jean Bailey. Johnny is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Mathis of East Palatka, his children, Susan René Conger of East Palatka and her husband, Robert L.
