Mildred Thomas passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 15, 2016 with her daughter Kimberly Holliman by her side. Mildred was born in San Pedro, California to Mildred and Franklin Herring. She moved to Florida when her Dad retired from the United States Navy. She graduated from High School in 1947. Mildred was a generous and loving person. She enjoyed reading, music and spending time with her family and friends and especially loved animals!
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Herring; her father, Franklin “Pappy” Herring, husband K.W. Thomas; her mother-in-law, Elizabeth Thomas; father-in-law, Bake Thomas; her daughter, Holly B. Thomas and a grandson Thomas Sebastian Holt.
Mildred is survived by a daughter, Tina Gray of North Carolina; Frank Thomas of Louisiana; Kimberly Holliman of Palatka; Grandson, Trace Thomas; K.C. Holliman (Chrissy); and great granddaughter, Aubrey Gail Holliman.
She will be sadly missed. She touched so many lives.
Due to her request, there will be no services.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.
